The Municipality of the City of Prague joins the Pact of Towns and Regions to stop sexual violence against children
The municipality of the City of Prague is the first Czech town to sign the Pact of towns and regions to stop sexual violence against children.
The Czech Republic plans to sign and ratify the Council of Europe Convention on the protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse (Lanzarote Convention) in the near future.
"The municipality of the City of Prague's signature is a good omen for the awareness-raising visit I will make to the Czech Republic in September" said Johan van den HOUT, Congress Thematic Spokesperson on Children. "I hope this strong show of support for the ONE in FIVE Campaign and the Congress' Pact will encourage other Czech towns and regions to follow suit".
